    Default My VA closed.... :-(

Well, I kinda expected this to happen..... Oh well. x(

As of July 17, 2002, Virtual Korean Air is shut down. I received a friendly letter (in Korean) from the folks at Korean Air saying that they'd appreciate it if I would close down the airline. This wasn't a formal "cease and desist" letter, but a letter saying that if it wasn't closed, then they would have to involve lawyers, and they didn't feel that a hobbyist like me would need a lawyer-ish "close or else" ultimatum. So I will be abiding by their wishes and closing the airline. However, I will be able to keep the domain name, so while this site will transform into my own personal site, there will be a heavy emphasis on flight simming and Korea. To all the pilots who were involved in my little venture, I thank you for your participation, and I hope that you will keep in touch with me.

In the meantime, check back soon. I plan to open a site that will let all it's visitors have a whiff of virtual Korean air!

For those of you who are looking for another VA, I suggest the following

http://www.gatewayair.com (I'm returning to my Assistant Hub Captain position in KSEA at this one)

I'm sorry to hear about that. :-( I've been to your site several times and probably would have joined if I liked the real Korean Air. It was a great site and its a great idea to turn it around into something cool like you plan to.

    Thanks guys :-wave

I'm just glad that I didn't get a big, lawyer-ish leter like the old Singapore Air VA did. I'm also glad that they let me keep the domain name, which is what I was most concerned about. At least I'm not out the 30$ I spent to register and set it up.

After a name change, you should be able to get back on track with little down time. Best of luck to you! :-)
