Don't believe that "mil spec" part are any better than "brand name" components "off the shelf". When I worked at Northrop back in the mid-70's (B-1 bomber & begining of the space shuttle program)I got a "feel" for what "mil spec" parts are.... they are the same thing you can get off the shelf, only they do a few more tests on them, stamp it as a mil-spec part and charge you 5 times as much! In my opinion, the cost is not worth the "extra ink" and the time it took to flip the switch or turn the knob a few extra times.

Simavionics have authorised me to provide a preview of their upcoming 757/767 Replica Throttle Quadrant.
This is a heavy duty unit that features a full die cast metal casing, base, levers and handles.
For durability MIL SPEC Potentiometers are used throughout.
For me the best part about this product is the price. $349 US + Shipping. This is cheaper than the Go-Flight Unit.
You can pre-order at www.simavionics.com
