I want to build a set of foot pedals for myself. I found all the wodnerful guides here and decided on a paticular design. However i noticed they all use gameports to conenct (which makes sense to me) but I use a USB Joystick. Will this cause me problems or no?

You'll have no problems as long as your sim of choice can read more than one gaming device.

It will work for FS2000 and I assume FS2004 too. However, if you do decide that you want all your stuff to be USB, you can get a little converter which will convert your gameport devices to USB. You can get the converter at RadioShack.
