Thread: My home made 737 central pedestal

  1. Default My home made 737 central pedestal

Here is a collection of shots of my central pedestal. It represents the pedestal of a Boeing 737-300 through 800. I just want to say thanks to Indo_FS for giving me the link to the specs of the thing, and to Chris Benton from the East Point Military Museum (Also known for his full motion 737 sim) for helping me out with some other details.
    Here are the pictures:

Wood. The thing was made out of MDF.

The whole thing set up for the first time just to check some stuff.

Stuck my home made decals on it to try. Looks nice if you ask me.

I painted the back part grey with spray paint. Looks pretty close to the Boeing color to me.

Painted the engine fire part and throttle part grey.

Finished product with decals on it.

Does anyone know where I can get the entire radio stack or other parts that are located in the central pedestal?
    Hope you enjoyed the pictures

That is really good, I know you joke, but the cup holder is exactly the kind of thing that takes this from being a normal "fairy tale" type cockpit to a hard working, real as it gets "office environment." Well done!

    Thanks guys!
I have added a speed brake lever now, and the flaps lever will also be added soon. I let these axis use the USB through the radioshack USB converter. Works great as long as I have FSUIPC to calibrate the axis properly. I'm also looking ay how to make the overhead, but its kind of wierd. I might need a different monitor (projector).
