    Default Cost of a cockpit.

I am interested in building a cockpit, and I am wondering about how much you guys are spending on yours. I will probably build a 737 or similar cockpit.

I have mine set up like a 737-400, but custom modified. Really generic but awsome. I'll be posting more pics soon. Have you seen the Goflight stuff?

I am in the planning phases for a 733 analouge cockpit, and it looks like the fixed base 'pit with monitors for display will cost between 100-150k (of course, I have only one crt in the whole panel, the cdu) the visual system i want is probably gonna run another 50-100k ( depending on if i go collimated or projector) and the 6-pof motion base is gonna be about 50k. Probably more than any person in their right mind would spend, but hey, i'm young and have all sorts of time to dig out of the whole, j/k. one point of caution, before you purchase the first bolt for your 'pit, plan the entire thing out, make sure you can get from somebody somewhere every component and that they will all fit together and works right. nothing more frustrating than getting halfway thru and realising that a main component doesnt exist or is too expensive. then when you start building, get flying as soon as possible, then work backwards to add functionality to your cockpit, that way you can test every component in the sim as you add them, instead of endless hours of rebuilding the whole thing at the end. hope this helps.
