Default Joystick that works for x-plane 6.13 in Mac OS X?

I am in desperate need of a Joystick that works for X-Plane 6.13 in Mac OS X. I am currently trying to use a logitech Attack 2 USB joystick that works in other Mac OS X games, just not in X-Plane. If this joystick is connected to the computer when X-Plane is launched, it will unexpectedly quit when it tries to load the joy.init. If I unplug the joystick it loads just fine but of course I have no joystick. If I plug the joystick back in after X-Plane is launched, nothing quits but I still have no joystick. This all works pretty good when I use X-Plane in Mac OS 9 on the same computer with the same joystick but I would really like to use it in Mac OS X. If there are any ideas on how to get this joystick to work then I would love to hear them, or if you know of a joystick that will for sure work with X-Plane 6.13 in Mac OS X then I would love to gather a list of those as well and then I will just go purchase one of those. I prefer a joystick with twist control for my rudder. Thanks to anyone in advance.

I am flying x-plane 6.13 with the Thrust Master Afterburner USB stick and it works well. I have several friends using the same stick , all using Mac. G4 and G3 machines.

You are runnnig Mac OS X right??? Is that the Thrustmaster Top Gun Afterburner or the topgun afterburner II. That looks like a great joystick, with throdle control and twist control for my rudders. Great price too.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-30-02 AT 07:03PM (EDT)[p]On thier web site I only see the thrustmaster Top Gun Afterburner and Top Gun Afterburner II. Is yours just just an "Afterburner" or is it the "Top Gun Afterburner" like on their web site?? Thanks in advance and sorry for the confusion, I just want to make sure that I get the right one. Also, is yours the one with the throdel and twist control for the rudder? Is it the silver one with black grip? Do you have to use any 3rd party software for that joystick such as gamepad companion or do you just plug and go? How much is that joystick?? Thanks again for the info.
