    Default Runs Too Fast

My problem with x-plane is that it runs too fast. What I mean is when I take off in the Cessna just to do a circut, the plane reaches flying speed and lifts off in far too short a time. The resulting circut can be completed in an unrealisticly short period. Compare the same activity in FS2000 and you get the sense that things are happening in accurate real time. It's as though XP is running in 2x speed, but settings do not indicate this. Any help would be appreciated.

thats one thing about XP. Are you a pilot? No? Ok the white arc on the airspeed indicator is the range where the plane will fly with flaps. the bottom of the white is Vso or the minimum speed that the plane will fly in landing config. Now Austin, the xplane guy, mad some of the white arcs way to low in the airspeed indicator. Some even start out with a white arc. Thats what the problem is. I also noticed that some of the plane s accelerate too fast once full throttle is applied.

The default 172 in X-Plane is pretty bad, go to x-plane.org and get the ones there. They are pretty good. Don't judge the sim by one plane. :)
