    Default building on rwy

    Hello x-planers
I noticed a weird thing with my x-plane.
When I start from Maastricht-Aachen rwy 22 I see a building on the rwy.
And can anybody tell me how to change an acft in x-plane.
Do I have to push the green or open button, cause nothing works.

You can go into World Maker, find your area
by latitude/longitude, zoom into your airport,
select edit obstacles, select the "move nearest"
block and "drag" the building off the runway.
To edit your planes in Plane Maker, find the
"green" .acf file for your plane and "double-click"
    on it.

    Hello Guy.
I hope this is your name.
I only see in worldmaker a blue surface with a small red square.
I did put the lat/lon in but nothing.
By the way how can I start the engines in x-plane ?

If all you see is blue, then Worldmaker is probobly
starting you out over the ocean somewhere. Try typing
the coordinates again (in the top-left corner). If you
still see nothing but blue, then it's possible that there
are no textures for that part of the world. I don't know
how much of the world it covers. You might try asking someone
on www.X-Plane.org. There's some good forums there.
Your engines should already be running when you're on the
runway. If not, there are some levers on the dashboard that
you can drag up with your mouse. Try moving them until your engines fire up.

About the engines already being fired up, I've looked all over for an option to have them start off. I like downloading and test-piloting amateur helicopters because the feeling of experimentation seems to be at the heart of the X-Plane credo, but to have the rotors immediately power on and begin providing lift is some times all too much for an unstable and lively model. Am I over looking a simple menu or short-cut-key option?

Fgehl, don't think of such buildings as hurdles, they are merely pit stops strategically placed midfield.

I have no luck with helos. They
either start at full power like yours or
the throttles don't work at all. The only
helo I have that works right is that little
    R/C job, and it's nuts. I ordered
5.66, so maybe that will be an improvement.

Fgehl, didn't you say you are flying a Citation X?
Are you using the standard X-plane panel or are you
using the custom panel from this site? The custom
    panel might not work right.

    Hello James
No I 'm using the original x-plane panel.

O.K. Then try loading the custom panel.
Maybe that will work. If not, try reloading
X-Plane. I have to do that sometimes. It
won't affect custom things you have downloaded,
but it will undo any Worldmaker modifications
you may have made, (i.e. that building will
be back on the runway). If none of this
works, forget about the Citation. Go to the X-Plane
site and download the G-5 Gulfstream. It is sweet.

Default RE: solution to helo problem

ok, here is the deal with the helocopters. for some reason, thrust controls are reversed for helos. in other words, MAX thrust on a plane EQUALS zero thrust on a helocopter...MIN thrust on a plane EQUALS MAX thrust on a helo..so when you start up your chopper, move your throttle control to max. that should keep it on the ground.
