    Default A little problem

I'm having a really odd problem with X-plane Version 5.01. Any joystick I try using, it doesn't let me use the Y axis, but they X and Z axis are just fine. Any solutions?

I was just about to post a message here about the same thing. I have version 5.52 that I just bought last night. I have a CH Pro flight yoke and the throttle doesn't work at all. I assume this would be the y axis. Can anyone shed some light on this please?

    Hi

My appologies if I state the obvious :-)

I had a similar problem with my CH Yoke, it you have the same problem I had then,

The throttle should be the Z axis.

Go into settings, set joystick axis.

Move the throttle up and down and you shoulkd see the z axis move. If you don't then you have a different problem.

The Z axis will be set to Yaw instead of throttle (I also had rudder pedals which were set to the throttle)

Click on the little square above the word yaw and it should change to throttle.

Also to assign joystick buttons, click on settings, set equipment options.

Press whatever button you want to assign something to, then press on the little green square next to the function you want the button to do. Repeat for all buttons.

    Hope that helps

    Phil

For the record, you can get the latest greatest version of X-Plane from www.x-plane.com

v5.65 was released Tuesday, do enjoy. :)
