    Default Airport design

I have taken a liking to several of the buildings in your Alaska resort Airport, and would like to use some like them in a personal project. (The cabins) I noticed youo had NOVA Textures. However, while looking at the demo, of Nova 1.6, I noticed that you also needed Abacus ASD. Did you use Nova to design it? what designing tools do I need to purchase to design a terminal and cabins that are like the ones in your Alaska airport? And will I need to get any addons like Abacus ASD?

Easy Object Designer is free, and thoug I've never used it, you might be able to get away with that. Or, install GMAX that comes on the FS-2002/2004 CDs. Not the easiest program to learn, but very powerful, can create any object you can dream of.

    Hi Jon,

Geoff (Capn_Sonic) designed the Juneau Valley scenery and he probably missed your post. Send him an email at Capn_sonic@flightsim.com and I'm sure he will be glad to help you.

    Best,

    Ed

    LOL,
Just reading it now Ed, as you posted.

    Jon,
Tell me which buildings you are wishing to use?
Most of the stuff at Juneau valley are macros that I have downloaded from the internet. Probably Flightsim.com. (Search for Macros)

The waterside cabins and the jetties and the garages were all made by a friend of mine and I have them on my system.

I did play with EOD in the early days but only created some very basic, block type, macros and to be quite frank, the amount of work involved wasn't worth the results and I did have a lot of problems with textures.
Apparrently GMAX is the way to go but has a huge learning curve, as Andy stated.

Gimme a shout if ya need out Jon,

well, I am interested in having the same large airport, yet small airport feel, so am interested in most of the scenery, as well as the terminals and the buildings. What software did youo use to actually compile and layout the scenery? I would also like to add a speedway track to it and roads, like in the hawaii scenery so it can be a little town as well.

    Jon,
Here's what I used to create the scenery
    http://www.fssc.avsim.net/
I suggest you download a few macros and give it a go.
Once familiar with it (And theres a great tutorial included) Gimme a shout back and I'll root out the macros of my cabins for ya.

    Best
