Thread: Search And Rescue

    Default Search And Rescue

    It was bound to happen.

An experiment at a top-secret military research institution in the American north-east has gone horribly wrong. The result was a massive high-frequency electro-magnetic pulse, which has affected electronic circuits for miles in every direction.

Several planes have been reported missing, and your help has been requested. As many pilots as possible are being asked to gather at Bangor airport (KBGR) at 3:00 eastern time today, so we can set out in search of the downed aircraft. Consider this directive to have come directly from the President, the Prime Minister, the Queen, your Mother, or whoever else would motivate you to get out and find those pilots!

You will need to download the scenery from http:\\flightsim.andyjohnston.net\scenery\sar.zip in order to participate.

Both muli-player veterans and new-comers alike are invited. The server IP is 82.152.234.89.
If you are new to multi-player, go to www.goteamspeak.com and download the teamspeak client (not server) and install it. It allows voice communication. Even if you don't have a microphone hooked up to your computer, you can then type your comments and others can easily respond. It's easier to to fly and talk than fly and type.

    Connect your Teamspeak to 66.11.174.227:8767

    Hope to see you there!

Sorry, there was a flub in the scenery. If you downloaded it prior to this post (looking at the server I can see that two people did) please go grab it again.

The results of our efforts so far:

First leg flown by newcomer Hammar, 0GS and myself; turned up a small float plane with a single occupant:

Second leg flown by Hammar and I; turned up a massive passenger jet, no way we're goning to be able to get all those guy back using out little aircraft, we'll have to call for backup!

Still a few missing planes, if anyone wishes to fly a bit this evening.

    Great Pics Chuck,
    First one is awesome.

This months MP event may be just up your street. Nothing too complex and very informal. Also plenty of help around for those who are new to MP flying.
Why not pop along for the ride and meet some of the regulars. Great bunch of chaps.
Find out how to register for the event here:
