Default Carrier John Stennis Is Departing Bermuda

Just heard that four hours ago the Aircraft Carrier John Stennis, that was in Port in Bermuda, abruptly cancelled all shore leave. The ship is scheduled to depart at 2030 GMT today under top secret orders from the President of the United States.

The order came so quickly that many of the ship's personnel were left behind and will have to be flown on board sometime tonight.

No one knows where the ship is going, but the code name of the mission is Diamond Head.

UPDATE 2020 GMT--- The carrier has just left. Interviews with some of the ship's personnel indicate that no one but the Captain knows the ship's destination and time of arrival. The crew is betting on arrival sometime Sunday, but that's just a guess. Strict radio silence has been ordered for the duration of the trip.

    Hi Andy,

It's from FS-Shipyards.com. The file is Nimitz-V3.zip by Phil Crowther. Last one in the Ships and Submarines category under Downloads.

Full blown aircraft carrier that you can send anywhere in the world.

    Best,

    Ed

The Space Shuttle used for an earlier leg has made a rendez-vous with the Stennis and has been flying escort for a few hours now.
