Unable to connect FSHost server

I can see the FSHost server in multiplayer, but when I try to connect, it will pause and a message will say, "Connection failed(:-mad)! Not all players were able to connect!" This info might help but I'm not sure: Next to the title of the sever it says: (170ms-195ms).

My network setup is a D-link DI-604 internet router with two computers hooked up to it. The router is hooked up to a westell Wirespeed 2110 DSL Modem by Verizon Online.

My computer has an Intel Pentium 4 Processor running at 2.8GHz with 1GB of memory, 180GB Hard Drive, and an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro.

A frustrating situation speedguy, I actually said the heck with it after several attempts. Not to discourage, but one thing that changed my mind after so many "battles" was the fact that there are already more FSHost servers than there are pilots flying on them. Do we really need any more? All I need to fly on-line is to have the FSHost Spy program loaded so I can check to see which of the servers I would like to fly on. Must be around two-hundred servers up and running all hours of the day with different hoplists, and agendas, as well as(most important) groups of pilots. I have found it very helpful to stick with a particular group of guys(82.152.80.185 FlightSim's main server) that have "taught" me more about on-line flying and flight simulation in general than I could ever have "taught" myself. Seems to me I've heard this topic about this very set-up and error msgs not only discussed but solved while flying around and having a good time. However if this is something you would really like to get established right away on your own, I would suggest a couple of websites to visit first one would be right there at the FSHost home page checking the FAQ section and another site that has helped me with other router related issues is www.PortForward.com not to mention checking with the D-Link home page. I actually found out that it was Zone Alarm (firewall only) that was the problem. What are the optimal settings for Zone Alarm?

My suggestion would be to not use ZoneAlarm at all. Your router should act as a firewall also. Many people appear to have problems with ZoneAlarm and multiplayer.

I used to have problems all the time when I first started MP and finally figured out that ZA was the problem. I tried to configure it and still constantly had problems. So I uninstalled it and now I run a netgear router and Windows XP2 firewall and have no problems.

Try disconnecting ZA and then connecting. We'll be out there flying this weekend and a Teamspeak server will likely be up.
