I have a group of guys who want to do an around the world race.
Starting and ending in LAX here's the rules so far:
Here are the rules I'd suggest we follow. Any ideas we should add or suggestions to change?
Use at least 2 different jet/prop planes
One overall winner
Person who does it in the least amount of flight time will be declared the winner.
Real weather, updated every 15 minutes if you're hooked to the internet during your flight preferably
Starting date would be noon Eastern time (7/30/04)
Contest would end at noon Eastern time (8/30/04)
Any add-on aircraft would be acceptable
Checkpoints in each Continent(list to follow)
If you crash, return to your latest take off point (Time spent flying before your crash won't be counted toward total)
Any start/end point is acceptable, however it can't be a checkpoint city.
Los Angeles, United States
Johannesburg, South Africa
Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
Guam, Pacific Ocean
The thing is we are all novices to this stuff how do we calculate time and where or not we sucessfully completed a segement. Meaning you didn't crash on landing etc.. I know you can manually calculate the time off your logbook, but is there another way or ways to check on the group? IE realism, cheat codes stuff like that
Thanks all input will be a big help.
