Thread: How do you use TTOOLS?

  1. Default How do you use TTOOLS?

I see sop many posts here about Ttools, and I downloaded it, but I can't figure out what you actually do. I ran the decompiler, and wound up with a long list of airports and other information along with it.

Well, now what? I can't figure out what to do from there. If I'm correctly understanding the posts about it, I can use it to have as many, or as few planes as I want taking off and landing at airports of my choice.

But HOW? Can anyone provide a walkthrough for how to go about it? If I want to have a bunch of airplanes taking off and landing at, say, Tallahassee, what do I do with the decompiled file?

    Simply read the "README" file.

If you read the documentation that comes with traffic tools, you'll get that walk-through. If there is something that is not clear, come back with specific questions, although I must say that Lee did one of the best documentation jobs I've seen in years.

Aircraft.txt is a list of aircraft AI will fly. You can add any aircraft you want. Airports.txt is a list of airports your computer will fly AI too, you can add controlled airports. Flightplans.txt is a combination of the two. It is a little complicated, and the readme.doc file will do a much better job explaining it than I will.

Sorry, I'll have to agree with "lansium". I can't make heads or tails of it either. Lots of info but..... All I want to do is to import AI flights from this forum. Maybe somebody can post some specific step by step instructions on how to do this.
