Default Oregon coastal flying - MB.5

Here are some shots of the race model Martin-Baker MB.5 by alphasim . There are a few model differences between this and the military version. Flihgt was from Siletz Bay State (S45) to North Bend Mun (KOTH), Oregon.

Ultimate Terrain sure improves coastal shapes. Some of these rivers and notches look so real.

Ok my landing was not perfect (as you can see by all my skidmarks LOL)

I noticed I had two almost identical side-views so I made a comparison gif of the two models

Nice aircraft and screenies, are my eyes deceiving me or does it feature twin props?

    Like this one?

Merlin: Twin V12 Merlin engines, so powerful you have to turn one engine off to taxi, the brakes just cannot hold the plane back.

Yup ,it's got two 3-bladed contra-rotating props. The sound is pretty good too (although my one quibble is the engine shut-down sound file should go longer ... or at least I assume it should. It seems to stop too abruptly)

Glad you like the pics Florian

    Thanks!

Since I thought it had a simliar appearance to a P-51 , I found this old side view of one and made this comparison gif. I made the planes the same size in the pic but maybe they were of different real dimensions but it shows off the differences between the two.

Great shots! Interesting comparison to the P-51 there; I must say the P-51 looks nicer but the MB.5 certainly wouldn't be called ugly!

For those of you who want to fly this great aircraft but don't have the money, Tim 'Piglet' Conrad has a freeware one available :)
