Milford Sound to Queenstown NZ

Hi - my first post here.

In the last six months FS9 has come a long way in the looks department, particularly in my home country of New Zealand. I thought I would share some of the results of my quest for a better NZ.

Taking off from Milford Sound

ActiveSky makes for some pretty shots

On approach into Queenstown NZ from the VC

and External View

and on the ground more or less safe - I kinda messed up the landing.

Hi Alan and welcome from a fellow Kiwi. Great looking shots. Isnt Christans scenery just the bees knees? You may be interested to know too that Old City is looking at slaping some RNZAF paint on the CS Herc :)

Thanks everyone for the encouraging comments.

And Grover Christians scenery is brilliant - for people who aren't aware of the scenery is is by Christian Stock and consists of mesh, coastlines, rivers, roads and landclass. It is like Ultimate Terrain and a good mesh product but with more detail (particularly in the coastal features) :-).

Looking forward to any kiwi repaints of the Herc.

I will be posting more screenshots soon of other beautiful parts of this wonderful country.

Your screenshots are awesome and were some of the inspiration behind my own. (I have been a lurker here for awhile).

It really is some of the most dramatic scenery in the world. The only time I have been there in real life it was overcast and didn't get to see Mitre Peak in all it's glory but modified FS2004 gives a good impression.
