    Default "Guardian Angels"

Two Fw-190 D-9's of the Platzschutzstaffel protect a Me-262 on final from roaming Allied fighters at day's end....

I've always loved the paint scheme of these Dora's. Because of that, I decided to build my own. I just purchased Top Flite's Gold Edition R/C kit of the Dora-9 and I plan to finish it in these colors. :-) I cant wait, it should be arriving today...:D

wow very artistic .... your last name isn't Van Gogh by any chance ;-)

Ok so manybe it's too much towards the realism end of the spectrum for that but it would make a great aviation art print!

No I'm not related to Van Gogh at all unfortunately! Though it would be pretty cool. ;-)

That's when the 262's were most vulnerable, when landing after a mission. The British did a lot of damage with Boulton Paul Defiants in this role - the tail gunner did the most work with them. They would loiter at German airbases and actually fly under the 262's when they were approaching the airfield. Talk about exciting combat! Cool edit Buddy!:9 ;-)
