    Default *Memories Part 3*

    Hi Folks

Ok..fast forward to the year 1989...July 24th to be more precise..This flight was done in the beautiful lady, 1982 Beechcraft Super King Air 200, YV-554CP..At this point, i had learned to love the venerable Pratt & Whitney PT-6 reverse-flow turbine..after quite a few hours with only one of those hanging in there and almost always by night, i came to fly this beauty with a pair of them! this was too much..sadly, this gorgeous lady was stolen on June of 1992 from the airport we'll be arriving to this flight "Caracas Machado Zuloaga" SVCS so who knows where she ended, doing what :-(....that was in fact a period of time when many birds were stolen, preferred airplanes for the bad guys were Cessna Stationairs and Caravan Is, Rockwell TurboCommanders and King Airs..some of them were kidnapped in flight after "costumers" contracted a charter flight and once in the air they took control of the planes and pilots.. some good friends of mine were taken with the planes and let them free after many days, some of them had to walk for days through a jungle and stuff...anyways, is better to remember her flying in FS!! cool indeed...so here we go, from Puerto Ordaz "Manuel Piar" International SVPR an industrial city located in Southeastern Venezuela to SVCS...hope you like these ones amigos!

    Best Regards

    Carlos

Sitting at the hot ramp, doing what all charter pilots do, wait and wait!

And now the reward for the waiting time :D

    Positive climb, gear up!

Overflying the mighty Orinoco river, what a sight

The sun has started to come down, what a nice and smooth flight

Starting oir descent from FL185, the highest we can go westbound without having to fly under Instrument rules (passengers arrived suddenly and were in a hurry so lets go visual! lol)

Here we are in a right-base for runway 10 at SVCS

Turning final, doing some close circuit..remember they are in a hurry!

Looking good..well, the King Air makes it so easy

And a very smooth touchdown to end this flight, ok remain in your seats will you? lol

See you amigos, have a good night :D

LOL

    See you guys, take care
