Default Cessna 152

I'm currently 5 hours away from my Private License. I fly a 1979 Cessna 152 and would like one for FS2002. I have tried most of the ones from here and on other sites. None are even close to flying like a C-152. Most of the models can achieve climb performance of 1500 FPM or greater. The real 152 can get about 800 FPM on a good day with the right condidtions. So, if anyone out there would like to develope a 152 or knows of one with an accurate model please let me know.

    Thanks,

    JR

    Hi JR,

Congrats and best of luck on your upcoming checkride! By far the best looking C-152 (c152fs2k.zip) I have found is at

After you install it, just use FSEDIT and drop the power scalar down 1 or 2 notches. The climb rate on a standard day (you do know what a standard day is, right? ) will be about 800 fpm at 72knots (Vy right?)

LAST EDITED ON Feb-10-02 AT 12:34PM (EDT)[p]Thanks for the suggestion and the luck :-) According to the 1979 Cessna 152 POH, on a standard day, the best rate of climb(Vy) is around 700 FPM. FSEdit is really cool though and gives me something new to play with. I think the lift for the plane maybe a little much as well. But, if I can get the numbers to agree to the POH I'll post the changes I make.

    Thanks again,

After having flown a few of the sim variety of 150/2's as well as some of the real one's, I think the sim versions are modeled after 150hp real planes rather than 115hp.

I would Have to agree. Using FSEdit as suggested I found that the engine was set to 125 BHP and the cylinder displacement was nearly triple what they should have been. I'll keep working on it, but I'm really a rookie when it comes to changing flight dynamics. I'm trying to get a more detailed spec sheet for the engine to put the correct info into FSEdit.

Thanks all again for the suggestions.

    Hi JR,

Looking forward to your results. I flew a 150 and remember 500 fpm and 100 kts top speed being pretty good for typical gulf coast conditions.
