Man these look great! What colour are you using for the reflective areas in your alpha channels ?

Also is that vague indication of darker ground reflection along the sides of the planes part of the image texture ?

Love that wet ground in the 2nd from the bottom (maybe fs2006 will have that ;-) ....... hmmm must start saving for a new computer)

Thank you Jan, Theo, David, and Vincent! I've just been posting 757 shots recently, and so it must get tiring; not to me of course, I love that plane! :9

David: Those darker ground reflections are textured on, with not too dark of an alpha channel. I think it looks more realistic that way, although it doesn't change with the lighting conditions or angles like real reflective metal does. Here are the main and alpha textures for the bare fuselage one:

I did put a lot more alpha on the Aeromexico paint for that more "polished" look. Thanks for your interest, I think your textures look pretty amazing already!

Thanks for the pics MikeM ....they look cool and are helpful. I suppose taking an actual photo of a mountainous skyline and blurring it could be used as part of this kindof idea (maybe that's how it's usually done). I guess for larger commercial planes (or even most GA) which aren't doing loops or 90 degree banks, the more static indication of a horizon in the texture works very well
