I thought I'd post these in a new thread since Carlos asked "what is cropping". Most graphics software will be able to crop and I think it can allow one to find a new arrangement in a raw screen capture (eg , so the plane or other item of interest is off-centre or in an interesting place). I prefer Ulead's PhotoImpact ( http://www.ulead.com/pi/runme.htm ) to anything for most of my graphics work (including FS2004 screenshots).
So here's a finished shot;

Here are some screenshots of cropping and also resizing and finishing with a bit of tonal effects

Image resize parameters ... I set my images to 780 pixels wide (with the aspect ratio set so the height is altered relatively).

Adjusting some tonal values (highlight/midtones and shadows) and adding a bit of sharpening and a vague lighting effect. I have these effects saved in an FS2004 spot in the 'easypalette'.

On these next ones I started over with the raw screen capture and rotated the raw screen capture as the first step.

Cropping out a new image from that rotated shot.

Finished shot. New angles are possible by rotating the raw shot first. Horizons don't have to be horizontal ;-)

Many graphics software will be able to rotate and crop and adjust things a bit. PhotoImpact , Paintshop Pro, Photoshop, Corel PhotoPaint (Corel Draw suite), Corel Painter are some examples.
Here's a few free (legally) graphic softwares in case anyone doesn't have software
Gimp ... http://www.gimp.org/ I haven't tried it in a long time. Seems to me it didn't like my graphics pen and tablet back then.
Photoplus 5.5 http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/ser...share.html&SP=
Irfanview ... http://www.irfanview.com/ from testing it, it allows rotating, cropping and tonal alterations
Hope this post is of some use.
