That's the Manukau Harbour in Auckland. My house isn't actually right on the beach but it's only about 1 minute's walk away. Fishing = not so good. Swimming = alright in summer. ;)

You're a real urbanite. I spent the night in Amsterdam a few years back on the way home from Kiev, Ukraine. I stayed at the President (?) Hotel right in the middle of the tourist area. I thought it was very beautiful and was amazed so many people spoke not just English, but excellent American English.

Jimmi that town has negative 15,000 people, wow that's not many! :-eek :-lol

Thought I'd add a bit more detail to my shot:

There are about 200,000 people on my side of the harbour, and about 900,000 on the other side.
