That model is sickeningly bad. ;)

Naah! Good shots anyway! Try F1 Dc-9. It´s still a great model.

Aaaah, I didn't think it so bad. It was probably fine at the time of release, and it'll hold me for a few weeks!

What role did you play in the development of that model? Or, what can you say about your hand in the upcoming one? ;)

so what was the problem with installing one of many countless DC-9 panels available out there? there are 2/3 good ones, not mentioning the complex, a payware-software-like, DC-9 panel by what's his name... the SAS guy.

sorry, I get horrified everytime I see that horrific default panel, it turnes my stomach upside down... :)

as of model, I use JetCity's family (matches up with HJG model quality), there you have AirCanada as a -10, -30 and -50, in all paintschemes including my favorite classic "black nose" Canada on the -10 and -30.

I'm not yet at the point where I wanted to be overwhelmed by a monster panel. Ergo, a default panel will do fine for the time being. I'm more revolted by an inappropriate fighter jet panel than one for a civvy. :)

Good to know. The Jetcity/Flight 1 models seem to look good, and the DC-9-30 series alone for $12.95 isn't bad at all. Stiil, I was really looking for freeware due to lack of funds for the time being.

It IS very nice! Ficticious, if I'm not mistaken, but certainly a viable and flyable one! I'll be sure to ask you for it if I buy this package! ;)

    I made them both.

You can download a demo of the new DC-9-30 in the forum at http://sgair.net/

It's in the previews and announcements section. You'll find it much better than that ratty old model. ;)

Looks like people are drooling by the dozens over that preview model! Sweet....

Thank you so much for the heads-up. I've installed it, and will fly in the next few days.

In the FS2004 forum, I was looking to relive memories of DC-9's that Air Canada used to fly. It was suggested that I try the old FFX model, and then add a separate third-party panel for greater realism. Then someone else hoped to get screenshots before downloading for himself. I didn't get the other panel, but here are my captures anyway. They are primarily for analysis and not for pleasure as is usually the case here.

Sorry if there are repeats. There is no preview function for attachments, so it's easy to lose track...

    - Current panel aliased to B737-400.
    - No VC.
    - Not a bad model given the age. Just don't look too closely. :)
    - Doors do not open. However, the other usual animations are present: wheels turn, nose wheel steers, flaps, reverser buckets.
    - Shine effect.
    - 2000's livery best for hiding skin limitations.

The F1 DC-9 is pretty sweet....

I'm totally tootin' my own horn here, but I figured I made a decent Air Canada paint for it... :-)
