Thread: Cessna 172R at Bryce Canyon

  1. Default Cessna 172R at Bryce Canyon

Quick flight in the new Flight1 Cessna 172R. A little high altitude flying in the southwest US. Bryce Canyon airport to Escalante (KBCE-1L7).

Getting ready to start the engines at Bryce Canyon. Elevation 7586 feet.

Sloooow climb to 9500ft. Escalante is on the other side of this mountain.

    Rocketing up to 9500ft at a blazing 300fpm! :)
A stall anywhere around here might be fatal.

Descending into the valley toward Escalante.

    On finals, with a crosswind.

The clean new Cessna looks a little out of place here.

Time for a quick bite to eat!

A fun flight with a great plane! Although it is never easy managing the 172 around the high altitude airports. Nothing can be more scary than hearing the stall horn go off right after takeoff!

    Hope everyone enjoys the shots!

    Addons used:
    Flight1 172R
Lago Georender 2 (I think it is 2)
    FSGenesis Mesh
    ActiveSky for weather.

J/W, does the stall horn actually sound like in the real thing? That annoying high pitched squeal like your standing on a pig?

I think it more resembles the sound a deer makes when you cut it's throat after you hit it with your car, and you don't happen to have a gun handy.
