Default Latest shots of Falcon XP project

Man, this FSDS is an awesome program, I just am amazed what can be accomplished in such a short amount of time! I made some great progress on the wings and winglets this morning. I got to thinking this would be perfect to build a Simkit panel and freestanding cockpit for and use one of those projection systems like they had at the Flightsim Convention, just would take something like the OmniMax :) (only takes money, right?)

Enjoy these screenshots and hope to have something available soon.

    Looks great!

I suggest asking around and learning a bit about smoothing groups, though, that way you can cure some of that odd shading you can see. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. I'd tell you how to do it, but I use GMax...so I'd be of little help. ;)

    Thanks Eric,

I have some backtracking to do with some of the earlier parts... in FSDS the order in which the points are selected for the polygons makes a HUGE difference. I will have plenty of headaches before I get this thing fully textured. I am learning as I go so I might run into some neat feature where FSDS will do it for me ;)

    Cheers,
    Zane

    Eric,

I reviewed the polygons on the fuselage and see exactly how to make them work much better. Thanks for helping me put two and two together. The fixed portion of the canard is another problem area, that will actually be more time consuming to fix because of the mess of points from combining multiple structures.
