Leg One (KASH-KBUF): http://www.flightsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID8/44664.html
Well, after convincing Bob to stay another hour to let some clouds clear, we prepared to fly to Toledo Ohio. We picked up carlos in buffalo, we don't know how he got there from Caracas but we ask no questions because he's doing the weight and balance calculations :-lol.
Anyway the weather over buffalo hadn't changed much but the weather en route looked just about good enough for VFR provided we could weave through clouds. We all settled on a cruise of 8500 feet because the winds looked OK and also at 8500 feet we could fly over the Cleveland Class B airspace and avoid the extra miles it would take to go around it. Our route of flight would be direct from buffalo to the ERI VOR (109.40) then direct to the DJB VOR (113.60), and then to the VWV VOR (113.1) which is about ten miles southwest of KTOL. Basically all we did is Parallel the southern coast of Lake Erie, but these VOR's acted as a nice guide...enjoy!
There she is...one of the sexiest cessnas out there ;), note the departing SWA 737...

Taxiing a long way even past the terminal building, here we see a USair 737...

Seconds after being airborne we already feel the turbulence, but it is due to go away as we climb...

After getting clearence through the Class C we climb out of the bufflao pattern and out over lake Erie...

Can you spot the VOR station?

Just as Bob's snoring (he has an uncanny ability to sleep on loud small airplanes) becomes almost unbearable we wake him up because he wanted to see Cleveland...which just came into view between those two clouds

Now directly over the city and over Burke Lakefront airport, now about 130 more miles to Toledo...

There's Cleveland international...

As we clear the final shelf of the class B airspace I decide to descend to a more scenic height of 2500...at this time we also recieve the Toledo ATIS...the weather looks great save for 13 knot winds...

Finally we prepare to enter the right downwind to RWY 7 at KTOL with me flying and Carlos on the radios...

And just about on short finals with 13 knot winds out of about 030 degrees...see the heading carrot on the directional gyro...

And with a thud we hit the ground on a somewhat 'sturdy':-lol landing, at least we woke up Bob...

Parked...and secured...after a long day of flying...we covered nearly 615 miles in just two legs :-eek, and it took about a full tank of gas, this planes got range...tomorrow we leave really early to Milwaukee Wisconsin, and then on to Oshkosh...
