I'm not sure what you mean by "random winds", but FSUIPC gives a fun way to play around with gusts, turbulence, add random icing and thunderstorms etc. to Real Weather. If you want to "randomly" shift the general direction and speeds around at the same altitude, I think there is a plugin that changes weather while in flight, but don't recall the name of it. I think it was posted on the Flight Sim Veteran's Forum at one time,but there is no search engine there unless it has been added in the last week or so.

I suspect that using something like that would probably really screw up the "NAV" mode using GPS however.

It's accessed via the "search" icon at the top of the page.

Since our software doesn't require the archiving of threads, you should find what you're looking for in there.
