NZA Leg 15, Wellington - Nelson

Today I'm leaving Wellington and heading across the Cook Strait to Nelson. From here on my New Zealand Adventure will continue through the South Island. While I hate to admit it (being a North Islander :)) the South Island has much better scenery in FS, so keep watching the series! :D

This area is popular for divers, as there are a number of sunken ships in the region, including the Russian cruise ship Mikhail Lermontov, the 8th largest ship in history to sink unintentionally. (only 1 person died when it sank)

Wellington is my default start point these days, and i quite often do that trip to Nelson. I love the mountains down that coast line and the approach to it.

Excellent, Leo!

The scenery is FANTASTIC. I would have to say that New Zealand is probably number 2 on my list (Just BARELY behind my number 1 of Rome, Italy) places that I would most like to visit.

I'm looking forward to the rest of your Tour.
