Thread: New lighthouse scenery!

  1. #1

    Default New lighthouse scenery!

After seeing a post by Jan about lighthouses, I decided to finish some of the ones that I've been working on. These lighthouses are all on the outer banks of North Carolina. Some of the textures still need some work, Hatteras and Cape Lookout especially, but the basic models are finished. I tried to get them as close as possible to real size and location, but they may be off by a little bit. They should be done within this week sometime. Enjoy!! :D

    Hello Mike,

Thanks for those shots! great work with the scenery object designing!

I remembered seeing the Cape Hatteras Light in a book I have called "lighthouses around the World".The book says it is 193' in height and also says that it was originally placed 200' from water in 1870 but because of erosion it had to be moved farther inland in 1999.

Thanks again Blue Max, and also Jonny, Al, and Dwayne. :-wave :D

Hatteras is also my favorite. I climbed it when I was 7 or 8, and I'm glad to see it being restored. :)
