Well, day after tomorrow I'm going to the Warbirds Over Wanaka airshow! :D This is the biggest warbird airshow in the Southern Hemisphere and there will be tons of rare and interesting aircraft there! (it used to be purely warbirds but now all different kinds of aircraft attend) :) Hopefully the weather is decent, looks like it's going to be extremely cold. In any case, I'll take heaps of photos, hopefully, provided all goes to plan I should be uploading them next week. ;)

In the past, display's have included low level flypasts from a B727, 8 Polikarpov fighters in formation (the most flying at one time since WWII), "dogfights" between Spitfires and BF-109's, and an original Bleriot Monoplane from 1917!
This year there will be a flypast from one of the RNZAF's 757's, the world's only flying Lavochkin LA-9 will be doing a display (it's owned in NZ! :D), the European Breitling Fighters display team will be performing, as will renowned Lithuanian aerobatic pilot Jurgis Kairys who will be flying a Sukhoi aerobatic aircraft. There'll be tons more as well, Buzz Aldrin's going to be there! :D
Hopefully I get loads of pictures! :)
