Out for a quick jaunt, only to discover that Hawaii is suffering from a major storm at the moment !

Looks like I chose the wrong time to visit the island paradise.

It was time to get out of town. Hong Kong was the destination. But this very heavy bird, full of fuel, tokk a VERY long time to get off the runway. Either that, or I nodded off during takeoff.

Finally clear of the clouds, it was time to turn right, and keep the a/c pointing in the general north west direction.

The magnificent yet slightly dirty Cathay Pacific queen. The solid cloud below greets Hawaii holiday makers at the moment.

And so it's off to the wild blue yonder, and Hong Kong a few hours later.
