Default The World; The Supersonic Way!

    [div align="center"]
    LARGE POST!
    Hello Folks!

I have devised a new tour. Over the next few weeks, I shall fly us all around the world in the luxury of Concorde.

Now, I am almost certain, you are probably thinking something along the line of.. “not another darned tootin tour post!’. Well I do apologise, I have had this one ready for about six weeks now, everything planned out; it was my great friend Captain Flo (:-wave) who actually inspired me to do this, and the love of Concorde.

Way back in the very early 1980’s, we must be talking around 1985 when I was *cough*5*cough*, and I saw Concorde for the very first time, even then I was totally amazed. It sparked a keen interest, then even today still burns inside of me; just looking at her, makes me happy. I love Concorde.

It was an amazing piece of kit, and in my opinion, always will be, even if it is sat in tatters in a museum. When it was first devised, it was a huge, mountainous project. It cost bundles of cash for both the British and the French to design and build, and even to fly in the last few years of it’s poor life. Concorde also had a remarkable service record; something like 50 straight years, before the tragic and freak accident in France.

It was sad to see her go, and I shall miss hearing her climb over my house….
Well; this is all dedicated to the Concorde. The tour will not commence probably until the weekend, however, this post is a mere taster of what is to come, so do enjoy.

Sounds like a great idea for a tour, but you can only fly supersonic over water, no blowing out greenhouse windows.

;-) Yeah exactly, and that Concorde is a gas guzzler even when it isn't supersonic! Although, the idea of blowing our greenhouse windows is somewhat appealing! ;-) Cheers Leo.

Awesome shots Stuart!:-jumpy...I have the same opinions about the Concorde:D..the Air France ship had a regular route Paris-Caracas-Paris for many years, and sometimes i went to Maiquetia airport just to watch her arrive on Fridays...and then the Saturday thw spectacular takeoff:-)...great idea!

    See you

Thankyou Carlos! Sad indeed. I guess Air France were not making enough dough on that route, the big bucks were to New York. Glad to hear that you enjoy her presence just as much as I did.
