2002 loading and crashing problems

I got 2002pro 2 months ago and the dam thing has never run properly.When I install the game form scratch I get scenery errors ,If it does run it crashes after 10-15 minutes and locks the computer completely.
My system is:
Windows 2000 Pro
intel p3 733
512 ram
matrox G400 dual head 32meg video card with 2 monitors
C-media PCI 3D sound card

I use CH F-16 fighter stick with pro throttle (anolog) through a USB adaptor, and my CH rudder peddles through the games port to give toe braking.
I have talked to microsoft in Australia Hundreds of times and have all the new drivers for sound and video cards.
I am at my witts end because FS2000 ran fine with this set up.
Any help would be greatly recieved

What other programs are running in the background? When you installed the driver updates, did you remove the old ones first? Did you do the updates in your administrator account? Have you looked for IRQ contentions between sound and graphics adapter with Modems and NICs? Are they sharing IRQs with each other or with Modems and NICs.

Lower your audio quality to minimum, turn off virus protection program, scan hard drive and defrag. Also check to see how hot your computer is getting. Are all the fans running like new, is there a lot of dirt and dust accummulated around the fans? What size of power supply do you have? Need 300watts for good control of all the new things your are pushing around in your computer.
