The following scenes were taken from a recording of the FLIR targeting pod of a Coalition jet fighter during Operation 'Desert Storm'. They show the destruction of an Iraqi war production facility using laser-guided ("smart") bombs.
I hope you like these edits, I wanted to make something that resembled those Norman Schwarzkopf's press briefing sessions ;-)
Target in sight! The factory is right ahead. The main objective is the building on the left that is supposed to be the section where weapons are being manufactured and stored.

As you can see, the laser illuminator has been activated (you can see a "L" below the crosshairs, meaning that the target is being 'painted'); moments later, the pilot presses the pickle button twice to release a pair of GBU-10 laser-guided bombs

The image goes "blind" for a few seconds because of the flashes caused by the explosion as the two bombs hit their target. Secondary explosions confirm the presence of explosive material inside the structure.
