That's great, I actually saw the Flugtag in Santa Monica, pretty funny stuff. You got some nice shots of it though, I could only see it from a distance...

Just odd seeing these huge contraptions diving off the pier..:P

HAHAHAHAH :-lol Nice Red Bull pics

The tower with the Dash 8 is a prop photo, get the right connection and you might be able to make some money off it.

    keep it up,

    Hey all!
Its been a while so I figure Id go ahead and post some pictures of my trip out to NYC today to observe the Red Bull Flugtag!

Flugtag is German for Fly-Day and what people do is build crazy contraptions that must be human powered and run them off a 30' platform into the Hudson River- whoever gets theirs to fly the farthest winss! (Tho nobody ever really gets too far, in fact, the slogan for the event was "Youll Laugh. Youll Fly. Just not very far.")

Ill only show a few pics, but some highlights you wont see included "The Shnoz" which is a biiiiiiiig 25' nose.

    Anywho, enjoy!

    "The Flying Mozarts of Austria"
The runners jumped into the water while one man in a Mozart costume sat atop a wooden piano! (The piano being the flying craft)

    "Enterprise"
Looks like the Klingons win this battle...

    "Submarine #2"
Im not sure why it was called this, except for the fact that it sank sank sank!

    "Biggest Paper Airplane"
This paper airplane was 30' by 30' and was truly made of paper.... paper mache that is. Not even this one could fly past 40'!
