Rey Lopez of our team is working on this one as we speak. Should be a fantastic bird.
I wonder how one gets on that thing
I think Rey's making one...
Nice shot there. Anything DC-3 is welcome to me.

Very cool. :)
As for largest floatplane though, I think this one takes the crown, the Beriev A-40 Albatross firefighting aircraft. I am very lucky to have seen one of these in real life landing in Auckland harbour, it's an impressive sight I'll tell you that... :7

Largest floatplane?
Come on guys....
Think!!
Spruce Goose. Still the biggest thing ever to have flown.
How does that float? :-eek
Well I suppose if you wanted to get technical. There is a differince between float planes and flying boats. So it is possible that the DC-3 is the biggest float plane.
Eitherway I'm just stirring up trouble.
Have a good day Folks!
Jerry
If I'm not mistaken, that plane (DC3 float) was parked at MHT for
a while several years ago. Quite a sight to see.
Jim
This is probably the largest floatplane ever, someone should make a model. Or is there one already? :)
EDIT: Some history:
EDO Aircraft Corporation designed and built amphibious floats for the C-47, the military version of the famous Douglas DC-3. This venerable old aircraft handled quite well on floats, actually, but the Army cancelled their order after only two had been constructed.
