Thread: National Air Tour - The Golden Age (real pics)

  1. Default National Air Tour - The Golden Age (real pics)

Despite a change in plans, courtesy Hurricane Isabel, the National Air Tour 2003 made it into Frederick, MD (KFDK) as scheduled. What a beautiful sight to see all these awsome aircraft all in one place!

I've also provided links that provide more info for each plane.

1932 Waco UEC (cabin). I love this plane! :-)

1929 Fokker Super Universal. This thing was something - look how thick the wing is at the leading edge.
How about the "open" (and tiny) cockpit? :-eek

That's it for now - I got a little carried away. I'll try to post some more later. I ran into Omar (jran225) and I suppose he'll post some shots too. Hopefully his are a little better that mine. ;-)

It was nice running into you at the last minute...if you decide to go to another airshow in the area in the future, you can notify me and maybe we can meet there. At the end I took a ride in the Sceneic Airlines Trimotor...what an experience!!:D
I will be sure to post my pics later today!!
