can you record a flight video from inside the cockpit and view it from outside?

Yes. Record what you want. Then on playback you can go to spot view (s), change the window view (w) etc. You can even pan around, zoom in/out.

I have used it a couple of times to analyse landings that went wrong. I find it easier to use instant replay (you can use the same functions) as I have a problem with the Flight Video. It loads, starts, then reloads over and over again, it may eventually start playing after 10-15 reloads.

And how can I insert a message into my flight video?
It was possible in the previous versions (FS2000 and earlier), but in FS2002 usual procedure with pressing "<" doesn't work...
