A Few Pics - Dreamfleet 310

Just having some fun "preflying" an upcoming route--KAPA-20V-KGWS-KASE-KLXV-KAPA--that I'll be flying next month.

These pics are from a portion of the KASE - KLXV leg. For those that don't know, KLXV (Lake Co.) is the highest airport in North America and is located in Colorado.

However, before I flying into there, I'll be sure that those high tension power lines aren't there (note the last couple pics). :-eek

Hmm...cutting it a tad close to the power lines, are we? :-lol Nice pictures, though, the C310 is a great plane, though I'm waiting for RealityXP to upgrade their GNS 530 to FS04 before I do anything that uses it (I can't stand the default GNS500, it's ridiculously annoying to use).

You'll have to fly under them.. I found a tower right on the edge of the runway near a mess of trees right on the end of the runway.
Made for a good obsticle approach..

I just "willed" my way through--as in, after coming that close to the lines, I better have a good will for my heirs. ;-)

What's so bad about the stock 500?

Well, the only legitimate gripe I have about the stock 500 is the MSG mode, which seems to be blinking no matter what when I fly. Other than that its mostly the comparison, having used the RXP GNS530 I find that there's a lot of features and fuctions that are different or not available in the 500. I also prefer the 530 because of the Nav/Comm capabilities, it makes life easier to combine radios and GPS into one.

I'm going to try to take as many as I can, but at some of those locations above, there are some pretty steep valley walls that might require my attention. :-eek ;-)
