Default Honolulu Airport & Airshow 2003..."The Thunderbirds" (REAL)

    Hi all,

I just got back from my vacation a couple of days ago and thought I would share some pics with you guys. I was fortunate enough to be there when the Thunderbirds were in town, the following are most of the aviation related pics of my trip. Sorry for the variation in sizes, I tried to conserve dl time, by making some smaller where proper. Enjoy and I welcome any comments!

Can anybody guess the airline/aircraft in this pic...I would be impressed...or should I be? :P I saw this sunset for 2 hours due to my departure time..pretty neat.

    Hey Harry,

Thanks for the complement. :D I was pretty happy with the results on those...but it took some time to get used to how fast they come in.

I checked the picture up close and cant make out the base on the tail...but the reg is: 83-0076..nevermind...its from Travis! Says so on the right engine.

Beautiful shots Jason!! If I had to guess....I'd say you were on a 767-400, or possibly a 777....but I'm gonna go with the 767-400....

The KC-10's only have 2 bases, either Travis on the west coast or MacGuire on the East coast ;-)

How did the TBirds go up in such a crowded airspace? Must have been hell for the ATCers'

    Hey Guys,

Thanks to all for stopping by and leaving nice comments!

Matt- It's not a 767-400 or 777-200, nice try though!

    Bo- Right on! :-lol

Top Gun- Thanks for the info...indeed it was...it was actually the reason my flight was delayed for 40 min! I didnt figure that out till later when all traffic stopped. The Air Force has some power I'd say.

Rob and Peer- Thanks for the great complement! Glad you enjoy them. :D

Ahmed- I use an F717 which is a Sony 5mp..
