Very nice landing taking in account the 11 kts crosswind.

Beutiful shots of the approach. You might want to give opposite rudder and lower the upwind wing right before touchdown. It reduces the stress on the landing gear and prevents you from potentiallt running off the runway. Either that or fly the approach with the upwind wing down and maintain centerline with the rudder. Touch down with the upwind wheel is OK ( according to my instructor anyways )

    Nice shots

Indeed, as jeteye said, your approach should be crabbed like that until about 300 feet (just as a guideline). Then, with the wind coming from your left like that, you should dip the left wing down, which prevents the wind from pushing you to the right, and then use some right rudder to point the nose down the centerline. This will cause you to land on your left main gear wheel first. Landing crabbed puts a tremendous strain on the gear, and your insurance company won't be happy with you. :-)

Remember that a crosswind landing is a great time to stall, or enter into a spin (due to a stall when you're cross-controlled like that). And when you're 100 feet off the ground, that's a really bad time for a spin. So heavy crosswind landings should be done at a speed a tad faster than a normal landing, to gaurd against a stall, and to also help maintain maximum rudder authority.

    P.S. Nice pics!

Interesting, thank you, i will try that. But we are also talking about a 767-300 here, rudder isnt too effective i though a the pilot in command and i told my FO this that stabilizer would line our back wheels nicely onto the runway and then i would line the noce up and backwheel touchdown...
    Whats your opinion?

Well, even if it wasn't the exactly correct way to perform a crab landing, you got some very nice shots from it! ;-)

Great shots. Just as an aside, in the old B-52s the rudder is extremely ineffective and the gear is right under the fuse. The wing tips have a gear but it cannot support the weight of the plane. Therefore what they did was allow the gears to swivle so that you can land with the fuse crabbed but the wheels would go straigt down the runway. Pretty ingenious!!

Funny, all the pilot's I've talked to and the Boeing manual say that care must be taken when SLIPPING (what's being described above is called this) the aircaft as the Rudder is VERY effective.

I think your problem is this- The Yaw Damper is on. Turn it off and you'll have no more problems. :)
