Wow what a cool Space Shuttle you got Rolf.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-18-03 AT 00:23AM (EDT)[p]AAAAARRRGH!!!! I can almost feel that rocket thrust! Endeavour has to be one of the best add-ons for Orbiter ;-). Any news about upgrades or panel for her? :-)
The Shuttle in orbit and astronaut with MMU coming out of the EVA airlock :-) Lovely!

LAST EDITED ON Jun-18-03 AT 01:43AM (EDT)[p]sure wish someone out there would make an equivalent shuttle for FS2002/4 *HINT HINT* ;-)
A panel is of course in the works...how long? Who knows? Orbiter panels seem to be complex little kits to build as they must interact with the MFDs etc. Well beyond this fellow, anyways :P
The Dragonfly for example has an 85 page PDF file on how to run it...lol. The Delta Glider II is a bit easier to run...but not much.
Here's a few more Shuttle pix...deploying a test rocket that uses the Nerva nuclear engine as a model.

Note to self...learn how to use RMA before deploying the darn thing (like a maze putting it back into its bay.) It grabs objects...not just eye candy.
re: Shuttle in FS2002
I think FS2002 only goes up to 100,000 feet and has no 'poles' so to speak...ie not a globe...more a distorted cylinder. Not to worry...that's where Orbiter takes over :)
Cheers,
Rolf

What ever happened to the shuttle that FAOSFX was making?
http://www.flightsim.com/dcforum/Use...e818a80706.jpg
Awesome! By the way, I can't still make the RSS and LC-39 work properly, I wish I knew how :-hmmm

A Shuttle for FS2002? I used to fly final approaches into KSC with a ver nice model of the Discovery for FS98. I also had a Challenger model which seemed to be more realistic in flight dynamics and handling characteristics. But thinking about it, what's the point of having a space craft in a sim where you can't go into space anyway? If you want to go to space, GO GET ORBITER, you won't be disappointed, go and discover a new world beyond our loving planet :-) FS2002 is for earthlings :-lol
Cheers!

Once you are using Earth_shuttle.cfg there is no need to use the 'Position' line in the scenario. Remove it like so...
From this...

That'll put you on the right pad. In the shuttle folder inside the config folder you'll find a Canaveral.cfg
Comment out the very last LPad2 entry like so...
Scroll down and find this part....put in the ; right where I put them...

Note: The crawler entry should be omitted if you don't have it added (or add it now)...it can be positioned anywhere. I have it fairly close to the pad though it would be safely back near the VAB for a launch.

So, all of that goes into my scenario file and the last one in Canaveral.cfg, got it ;-) I'll see if it works, thanks a lot!
Cheers!
