Default Doubts when ordering new PC.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-15-02 AT 10:20AM (EDT)[p]Hello all:
I am getting a new machine this week, with these parts:
-ASUS A7V motherboard
-Athlon XP1800+
Gforce 3Ti200
-Hercules Game theatre xp sound card (already have it in my current setup)
-ovislink network card
The thing is I have read other posts similar to mine, in which the Asus a7a is reccommended rather than my A7V. (in other they recoomend the A7V) If I still have time, should I call the shop and change the motherboard? If yes, why?
Thanks in advance,
Jaime

P.S. Forgot to mention:
-Pioneer DVD
-Sony CD-RW
-IBM 7200rpm 40 GIG

go for any motherboard with a VIA KT266A Chipset.
this is the fastest chipset available today. you will need to pair it with DDR PC2100 ram.

it is similar in performance increase as going from a 1600xp to an 1800xp... is that good enough reason ? :-)

Thanks Capt´n. My Asus A7V266 does contain the Via KT266a chipset so I can rest in peace, or is a better one reccommended? Thanks
