I had a couple of screwed up aircraft files in FS2K2, so
I deleted it (except for some addons) and reinstalled. I'd
saved everything I wanted to put back in so I could get it back
to where it was (except for default file problems)..

Everything set up fine, I checked my backups vs the new install..
and deleted the backups..only to discover that I deleted
my logbook :-eek

Other than that, everything went back real nice.
