ATC Lost Sound with 747??

Hi All,

I am having a problem with the sound to and from ATC only on the 747, ATC works fine with all other AC?

I have looked at several cfg and can't find anything that seem to be missed up. I do suspect that somekind of a swtich is being changed as I can get a brief period of sound to/from ATC if I switch sound off/and back on "Q".

Sound set up show ATC sound set high (at the same level for all other AC).

Any ideas or thought on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Is this the default 747 or an addon. What are your computer specs? Do you have on-board sound or a card? The 747-400 aircraft uses more computer resources due to its complexity. Your system may be having problems coping with the extra load.

Thanks for the response.

My system is a ADMK6-2(450),256MB, and Vodoo 3(APG). Sound Card is a Sound Blaster IDE.

This problem happens only with the standard B747 and at this time no other AC. ATC on all other AC works fine (speach is load and clear) all other 747 sounds are clear and present.

Frame rate is in mid 20's and no stalling.

I don't think it the hardware, why would it fail with one of several AC. Is the 747 more complicated than the 777 or 737?

Richard-

Bring up your radio stack and confirm that you have the Comm frequencies properly entered and that the audio panel on the stack shows that you have Comm1 turned on. You may have accidentally switched it off.

If it still doesn't work and you know how to post a screenshot, try posting a pic of the radio stack so we can see if there is anything out of the blue. Since it is only happening with the 747, I doubt it has anything to do with your setup.
