    Default Random Shots. Enjoy!

    Hey everyone!

Hope you are all well if you are in the Tennessee & Southern Kentucky area, & had to go through the storms last night. I had just gotten home from the airport, & we were all watching the radar closely to see what was in store for us tonight. While I had the TV on the local news to get an idea about possible danger, I was flying through the mess in FS.

The first shot is me taking off, set to daylight so I could check the clouds, FUN FUN returns!

This shot if of me just messing around at a little grass field about 35nm ESE of KBNA. This runway literally sits in a hole. It is like this in the real world as well, not an FS error.

Here is a shot of the same field, me taking off with normal T/O flaps, JUST getting her off the ground in time.

Here is a shot of a USAir DC-9 making the final flight of the night.

Here is a landing shot, from a... Different angle.

Getting her cleaned up, & ready for cruise!

The next two shots are something that, until the point in these shots, I have NEVER experienced before. I am not sure how the engine caught fire, but I was doing touch & go's in a VERY strong (27kt) x-wind, just playing, and I might have struck the engine. I am not sure though, because I remained in cockpit view until I heard the engine go out, & saw the engine speeds start dropping off. I went to outside view, & this is what I saw...

& this one, after a little more climbing, trying to get enough of a safety buffer to make sure I don't start clipping trees.

I hope you all enjoy them, and comments are welcome, good, bad, or indifferent!

They are very well done and I enjoyed them immensely. And with the smoke, the same thing happened to me a week ago and it was from a engine strike on touchdown.

    Best, Matt

The weather radar is FSFlightMax. It was a payware thing, but is now free. It is a really neat product, and has LOTS more features than just the radar, but I like the radar for nasty weather, as it does a real weather (in the sim) display.

& thanks for all the comments!

Sorry for the delay, I just got back in town. If you still need the file, I will send it to you. You can, however, download it from Avsim.com I think is where I saw it, if you cannot find it elsewhere.

Or, I'll just e-mail it to you, with all you need.
