Thread: AI traffic tool

    Default AI traffic tool

I downloaded the AI traffic tool and I think its great you can alter the planes and all that.
My question is this, I have changed both the Dehavilland dash 8 and boeign md80 to 737, as I want more heavy type traffic.
Will this be alright in the sim, I mean the planes wont crash or anything will they? I know it will affect performance, but are fed up of all this light aircraft type at major airports.

    Any thoughts.

It wont crash the sim, but you should remember this, if you send a MD-80 or a 737 to an airport that does not have a "gate" large enough to handle the larger aircraft, then the plane will dissapear on landing....personally, I have found the best way to handle this, is I do a search for the airport in question in the FlightPlans.txt file, then I delete the flight plan with the Dash, or Mooney, or whatever aircraft I dont want to see that much of, and I replace it with a flight plan I created myself. It is a little more work, but the realism is better. Thats just what I personally do.
