Since I don't have experience with, let alone benchmarks for, the other cards, I can only say that a higher end card gives better performance. To answer your question fully would take a lab with each...

This one is pretty simple: Microsoft developed FSX over 10 years ago, and while the video card sees some use, FSX is mostly CPU bound.

Lockheed Martin, on the other hand, developed P3D much more...

FSX doesn't support using DX 11. There is a menu selection to use DX10, but not everyone thinks that's beneficial. Direct X, is something that comes with Windows, and is a display/gaming interface...

I have an i7 with a GTX 970 and, many places, don't do much more than that. So much depends on where you are, but it's also about slider settings. I cannot keep them all maxed, except in a few remote...

I've not bothered with it in P3D, and it runs great, smooth. Unless you encounter problems from the CPU not keeping up, I'd forget it. FSX is another story, but LM has changed the whole ball of wax.

You're probably going way too fasty and trying to put the aircraft on the ground, forcing it into the ground with the controls. That's a recipe for disaster, if that's what you're doing. You need to...

If you were using Prepar3d tweaks might help (though I don't think you'd need them), but with FSX (as Zippy indicates) the graphics card doesn't do much for your performance.

Or rudder pedals -- twist grip is too awkward for me, and possibly some other folks too. But you're correct in that you need the separate rudder control.

On the second question, when you turn on the AP and can't turn, it's activating wing leveling, so CTRL-V will turn that off.

Then how come several military aircraft, in addition to the sailplanes, will work. I've been doing this for years, always with an axis in control.

I didn't look at the video, but the basic principal in crosswind landings is to lower the wing into the wind just enough to stop any tendency to drift left or right, while using the rudder to keep...

It's likely "baked into" the addon. Developers have control over quite a number of parameters, including at what scenery "density" setting each building or other item appears.

Unfortunately, that has been an FS characteristic for years. It doesn't happen everywhere, and not always, but I've not known of a cure.

As a former CFII, I'd cut that 20% down a bit, but in any case, I'd have to agree with your statements except that I'd comment that straight and level is one of the harder maneuvers to do in real...

While zoom in/zoom out works fine, the other "view" keys in FSX/P3D only work when you've put TrackIR in "freeze" mode. The moment you unfreeze, TrackIR is again in complete control.

    But that F12...

First question: Are you using the ILS or the VASI (PAPI) for glide slope guidance? If so, that's why -- they're aimed well down the runway.
