  1. We're not just talking .air files here. Premium planes don't have config files for aircraft, engines, flight_model, or systems. So, something as simple as changing your tail number or the crew (or, like in the case above, adding an autopilot) is impossible. (Actually, the unencrypted config files are available on some darker corners of the web, but you shouldn't have to jump through those kinds of hoops, just to do some tweaks to the planes you paid for.)
  2. I've been told this by several people (e.g. this and these guys on Avsim). What kind of mods have you done? Instruments? They're stored separately from the plane, and are not affected by encryption. Liveries? They don't need config files.
  3. Yeah, the config files for the premium planes are encrypted, so you can't edit them... (I originally wanted to get the premium packages too, but when I heard about the encryption I decided to stay with the standard version, and give my money to devs who let me tweak their planes.) But what happens if you just pop a systems.cfg from a regular plane into the premium's plane folder? Will this overwrite the default one perhaps? (Of course, it might not be a perfect match, but it's worth a try.)
  4. If your plane has the Hour (Hobbs) Meter, you could use this replacement: http://kronzky.info/fs/fs2020-landgauge/ It shows vertical speed at touchdown moment, and measures the distance until stopped. If your plane doesn't have that gauge, I also have an alternative in the works that replaces the AS92 radio (the one pictured below).http://kronzky.info/fs/fs2020-landgauge/as92.jpg It's not on the site yet, but if you're interested, contact me, and you can be a "beta tester"...
  5. You can also add autopilot to a plane by editing its config file (systems.cfg). The only drawback is that you have to operate it blindly (i.e. via the keyboard).
  6. No, not at the moment (and it's uncertain when - or whether - you ever will be able to). Currently there's no way of adding gauges to an existing cockpit.
  7. By MS: https://www.flightsimulator.com/august-27th-2020-development-update/
  8. You need to wait for the next patch, which is supposed to fix the Simconnect issue.
  9. Considering that their highest index so far on that list is 274822 I guess their internal bug list is a bit bigger than shown... ;)
  10. I got something similar on the same trip. I'm at the SCNY airstrip, and can't start the engine anymore. Presumably I have fuel, but the engine won't start (either via the key or via autostart). The OIL PSI indicator is flashing red, so am I out of oil???
